Don't know why, but the water of the Hudson River has gained a weird brownish color during the last two days. Would you enjoy a swim in it?  Not that it's recommendable on normal conditions anyway!

Construction work, hide the trash!

Look at this first picture (yeah, Fulton Street again) and notice the construction work blocking the sidewalk:


Looks nice "enough" right?

Well.. now, see this:


True, nothing compared to all the other pictures we have seen so far but... how is anyone going to see these bags from the collection truck if the construction work hides them?  I bet you they will stay there tomorrow!

Strolling around Fulton Street

I was out a few days ago showing Pier 17 in Downtown Manhattan to a friend, and on our way back home through Fulton Street, we could be delighted by piles of garbage all around the short street. Here are some pictures for your own amusement.

Granted, these garbage piles will be go by the morning... but their scent remains overnight.
