Don't know why, but the water of the Hudson River has gained a weird brownish color during the last two days. Would you enjoy a swim in it? Not that it's recommendable on normal conditions anyway!
Dirt and the City
Facts.
Did you see the brighting parks, awesome dressed up people, the spirit of a non-sleeping city ?
- I am sure that in the movies you did.
Did you see the trash bags on the sidewalks, rats in the subway and homeless without any social care?
- I am sure that in New York you did.

Construction work, hide the trash!
Look at this first picture (yeah, Fulton Street again) and notice the construction work blocking the sidewalk:
Looks nice "enough" right?
Well.. now, see this:
True, nothing compared to all the other pictures we have seen so far but... how is anyone going to see these bags from the collection truck if the construction work hides them? I bet you they will stay there tomorrow!

Everlasting mountains
Walking around this morning, I "found" (well, quoting because it is there every day) this mountain on Trinity Place with Cedar Street:
To my "surprise", it was still there in the evening... of course untouched:

Strolling around Fulton Street
I was out a few days ago showing Pier 17 in Downtown Manhattan to a friend, and on our way back home through Fulton Street, we could be delighted by piles of garbage all around the short street. Here are some pictures for your own amusement.
Granted, these garbage piles will be go by the morning... but their scent remains overnight.

Steamy monuments
Isn't it nice to patch street holes every single night with an awesome chimney to cover their hot steam?
This is on show in Pier 17, Downtown Manhattan. But don't worry: you can find these monuments everywhere!

How many
Are you a good mathematician ? Can you make a good estimation of how many bags you can find in this corner? ( behind port authority bus terminal )
